Registered Polysomnographic Technologist RPSGT
A Registered Polysomnographic Technologist RPSGT at Sleeptech collaborates with the patient care team to deliver top-quality patient care and support.
As a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist RPSGT, you will:

Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ respiratory needs to determine appropriate DME requirements.

Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop customized respiratory care plans based on individual patient needs.

Educate patients and their families on the proper use and maintenance of respiratory equipment, such as CPAP/BiPAP machine, nebulizers, and oxygen concentrators.

Provide hands-on training to patients on setting up and operating DME devices safely and effectively according to physician’s order.

Ensure accurate and timely delivery, setup, and installation of DME equipment at patients’ homes or healthcare facilities.

Respond to patient inquiries and troubleshoot equipment issues promptly and professionally.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient interactions, equipment services, and inventory management.

Follow all relevant regulations, industry standards, and safety protocols related to DME respiratory services.

Participate in educational programs and training to stay updated on the latest developments in DME respiratory technologies and best practices.

Develop and maintain a good working relationship with new and existing customers, physicians, referral sources, support staff and other staff members.

Maintain basic knowledge on funding guidelines for reimbursement, allowable, and product coverage or respiratory products and equipment.

Assist in training staff members on approved and revised respiratory related policies and procedures. Attend and participate in staff meetings and education in-services.

Comply with HIPPA regulations.

Follow universal precautions and infection control procedures according to CDC guidelines and company policy procedures.

Basic understanding of respiratory related diseases

Knowledge of respiratory home care products/equipment

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Basic computer skills (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet)

Ability to be on call on a predetermined, rotating basis

You:

Education and/or Experience
-
Successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to an Associate’s Degree with an emphasis in polysomnography; or successful completion of an accredited program or equivalent experience and certification by the BRPT.
-
Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire. ACLS may be required by specialty.
-
Preferably have experience with PAP and oxygen therapy.
-
One year of clinical medical experience preferred, but new graduates welcome to apply.
-
Have had a clean driving record for 3 years with a valid Driver's License.
